Car industry
For this branch the application is obvious; wrapping and spraydipping of bodywork. The practice is immensely popular among car enthusiasts because the layer of protective film makes the car’s bodywork much more durable. Besides that it is very popular to wrap or ‘spraydip’ a car’s rims to protect the paint against rock chippings, salts, heat and other acidic substances.
While the most common application is to apply it onto bodywork and/or rims, the coating can really be applied to any hard plastic or metal surface. Even soft-top convertibles can get a nano-coating to improve protection against water damage and filth.
Maritime industries
Just like cars and other vehicles, it is very wise to coat the exteriors of your boat. Extra layers of coating protects the boat from corrosion and makes it harder for water bacteria and algae to attach to the side or underside of the boat.
For large commercial ships it is common practice to provide essential components, tubing and piping with coatings to reduce the chance of corrosion and make the substrates sturdier. Usually this is paired with a color, mixed into the coating, to improve the ship’s aesthetics as well.
